Broken

I've tried to fix this unmended heart
Time and time again
But somehow all the pain and past
Keeps on seeping in

I've tried to turn away from hurt
Day after day
But no matter where I go
It seems to be here to stay

I've tried to put back the pieces
Year after year
But I've worked so hard
Just to always never come near

This is how my broken heart mends
